Play Converse Sneakers

Hello, Awesome. Converse + Comme des Garçons, check them out here ($125).

Leftovers anyone?

Matt makes a pretty mean Thanksgiving leftover sandwich. It starts with a fresh loaf of sour dough from La Brea Bakery and includes elements of Thursday's meal in a very specific proportion and order that only he can produce. This year we ate them on some Sanna Annukka for Marimekko dessert plates which I can't find online, but we got them a few months ago at Reform School in Silver Lake, and I bet there are a few left.

Vinyl Tree

Thanksgiving Day was gorgeous here in L.A., and clear as a bell. While driving home via the 101 last night, everything looked so glittery and festive. I snapped a shot of the Christmas tree atop the iconic Capitol Records building—all decked out and ready for the season. Happy Holidays!

My arrow fetish just got a bit more serious with these clips ($6).

Balsam Fir incense

Love this Balsam Fir incense ($8) which smells like a pine fire burning in the hearth of the next room, and is not perfume-y whatsoever. They're made in Maine, so you know it's good!

Christmas in Morocco

Wouldn't that be sweet!? It's next on my list. But until then, these Moroccan tea glasses ($20 for four) will do the trick. They're totally Christmas-y and they're cool for the rest of the year too.

Break my art

Cool and funny paperweight. Artbreaker ($64), by Francois Dallegret, is comprised of two precision pieces that rotate on a hidden central axis so it can be set in several fascinating sculptural compositions. Available for pre-order here, not available 'til mid-January.

Cynthia Warren Design

I just got back a sampling of some of our wedding photos! I have to gush first about the incredible work that Cynthia Warren did on all our paper for the wedding. She was absolutely incredible. She often does special menus for Chez Panisse, so I knew I was in good hands. Above is our program, my favorite element of all. Totally rad arrow monogram that she came up with.

Each table was named after different fly fishing lures. Cynithia confessed one day that she had checked out three books on fly fishing from the library to really get into it!

Even Max Wanger's photos don't do them justice as she silk screened by hand each menu to match an exact Pantone color. (woah...Bridezilla!)

Randy Newman is so right.

There's a cute little Juliet balcony off our bedroom in our new apartment. Last night we slept with the door completely open and it was totally dreamy to fall asleep to the sound of palm tree branches lightly rustling.

Just one more reason why I LOVE living in L.A.: it's mid-November and we're sleeping with doors wide open. Last year at this time I think I was probably navigating my closet so I could un-box my long underwear. In terms of keeping the plants alive: I'm working on it. This innovative watering can may help.

Designed by French-born Pascal Charmolu, this watering can is made of 18-0 stainless steel and has a flexible silicone hose with a built-in magnet that allows it to be attached to the can’s body when not in use. Sweet. get it here ($96).
