Assouline

When it comes to art book publishers ASSOULINE is TASCHEN'S biggest rival. Assouline gained some serious points with me when it published Slim Aaron's book "Once Upon A Time" in late 2003. They recently opened a gift store that sells some cool (but overpriced?) items. The leather skull notebooks with ivory pages and silver edges are $125 (but I secretly have considered buying the white one). There are really great books to check out too, like their new "In The Spirit of Miami Beach" photo book.
