Max Bill designed this, no-frills and decidedly German wall clock in 1957 right around the time when George Nelson was breaking down design barriers with his colorful and modern wall clocks that became an icon of the decade. That actually may be why I am drawn this one. Or, maybe it's the clever name, not "Sunburst" or "Sunflower", but...wait for it..."wall clock". Available at the hip Berkeley design store THE MAGAZINE and MOSS for about $360 and up.
