Yes, TOMS are a fad right now, just as Uggs had their big moment a few years ago, but I had to comment on them—because it's a great story. Shoe designer Blake Mycoskie, the mastermind behind TOMS, was inspired by traditional Argentine canvas shoes, even better—he matches every pair purchased with a donated pair to a child in need. The basic shoe comes in several neutrals and patterns (about $38), but I especially like the above special edition TOMS—hand painted by Tyler Ramsey ($48).
