New from Starck

I'm usually impressed by Philippe Starck's eccentric designs, but the above stool he designed for XO, I don't know, it just seems a little too Jonathan Adler for a Starck piece. He constructed the stool from ceramics then painted with gold (also available in black or platinum). You can snatch up one of the last gold ones at Unica Home for $734, but don't worry, if you feel like you have to have it and don't have the cash for a golden face stool this month—they have a miniature available for $56—all of the Starck and none of the sitting.
