Getting all the small things set up in the new place has been tough, but I made it a priority to get the color-coded bookshelf done first. I've been wanting to buy a David Hicks book for a long time, and now I have a reason: to fill in that ever elusive red/orange transition spot. No, but seriously Hicks is one of the most important interior designers of the 20th century and his 70's patterns look as fresh today as they did 30 years ago. I've read that his son, Ashley Hicks, has made this book far more dimensional than Hicks' other "David Hicks On..." editions, David Hicks: Designer is an outright memorial to his talented father. Pick up this copy right here for $35.
