Witches' Brew

Famed Dutch designer Tord Boontje has done it again with The Witches' Kitchen Set by Artecnica. It's not hard to tell that Boontje's hand-molded black ceramic cookware was inspired by the witches and wizards of western lore. The extensive collection is also an exercise in sustainable design—designed by Studio Tord Boontje and handcrafted by artisan groups from three different South American countries—the cookware was hand-molded by Colombian artisans, wooden kitchen utensils hand-carved by Guatemalan craftsmen, and kitchen couture hand-sewn by Brazil’s Coopa-Roca women’s cooperative. The saucepan and casserole are available here ($240-$360) and the utensils ($770 for entire set) are also available here.
