We walked out of the LB Flea with a huge Susani wall hanging that I had almost purchased once before for $400, but scored for $75 (although we had to take directly to the dry cleaners, so no pics yet), a few vintage seltzer bottles for the bar and a bright blue ten dollar demijohn cage-thing—that I'm not sure how we'll use yet. Matt wants to use it to make a pendant lamp in his future man garage, but I was thinking it would be a great base of a side table. My friend Danielle thought it would be good for stacking pillows. Any other ideas?

I vote side-table. If you could find a beat-up piece of wood it would look very industrial, or you could have a piece of glass cut for a little higher-style. However, it would look pretty rad as a hanging fixture with an oversized Edison bulb inside.
Do you use the seltzer bottles for seltzer or just for decoration? I know a shop in Chicago with a couple of cute ones for sale right now, but I would only buy them if I could actually use them. I worry a little about sanitizing them and aso if the fittings would be OK with the pressure.
I think I'm going to get one of them charged just to see how it works and to try it out, but they are mostly for decoration.
I immediately thought side table. Very nice!
Me three on the side table. I thought that's what it was before I read your comments. Whether you leave it as is & just add a top (frosted glass? stone?) or lacquer it another color it will be fabulous!
