NEWSPACE, which I believe is the second-oldest art gallery in Los Angeles, is closing. Their final exhibition "Joni Gordon 22 Years at NEWSPACE, 1973-2006 GOOD TO GO" is showing until December 16. The gallery specialized in painting and sculpture including installation pieces. I interned there during the summer of 2003 and became infatuated with one of their artists, Jeff Price. Above is one of his paintings that I especially like, "Dwell" 2002, Oil on canvas, 84" x 78". If you're in the L.A. area check out the gallery, it's just east of Paramount Studios at 5241 Melrose Avenue.
