>> sweet-orr matches

As an amateur matchbook collector (but I hope to soon turn pro), I was intrigued by these promotional matchbooks produced by Sweet-Orr, a old men's work clothing company (30s, 40s, and 50s, ?). Trying to find more info on the brand, I kept getting directed to Japanese blogs (wtf, mate!?). In any case, the brand advertised that if six men could rip apart a pair of their tug-o-war pants, each one would be given a free pair. That sounds like a mighty durable pair of pants. And the matchbook ($55) obviously is too as it survived fifty+ years. I just think it's really cool the way they designed the match sticks as little men! Totally Sweet!
